Product Description ------------------- To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Falcon de luxe, they have released a Special Edition jigsaw puzzle from the Original Puzzle Collection. ‘1940s and 1950s’ is the title of this beautiful special edition 1000 piece Falcon de luxe jigsaw puzzle, which includes a FREE 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle – both of which are part of the Falcon de luxe Nostalgia collection. The first puzzle titled “Britain at War” depicts a of life in the early 1940s, when Britain was still at war in World War II. The image illustrates life on a busy road, with children playing football on the streets and others fighting on the local bomb shelter, while a mother heads home with her weekly rations, and an army soldier chats to a local women. The second puzzle image, titled “1950’s High Street” is a wonderful post-war image of life in Britain after World War II, with Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation, the growing economy and sweets no longer rationed for children – it was a fresh start for Britain. The image illustrates the community spirit found on highstreets back in the 1950’s, with businesses growing, more cars on the road and children looking in the shop window for an afternoon treat! These Nostalgic 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles have been illustrated by the very talented artist – Kevin Walsh.
